Direct Coupling Network for Railway Applications

EN 50121-3-2 and EN 50121-4 Emission and Immunity of the signalling and telecommunications apparatus require a surge test using DIRECT coupling. CN-R40C05 together with the CDN2000-06-32 and a Combination Wave Generator (CWG) can be used to fulfil this requirement. EN 50121-4 for AC power ports specifies direct coupling with 12 ohm (10 ohm and 2 ohm in generator) and a coupling capacitor of 9 μF. This is addressed using a TRA3000 S and the CDN2000-06-32. EN 50121-3-2 for battery and AC power ports specifies direct coupling with 42 ohm (40 ohm and 2 ohm in generator) and a coupling capacitor of 0.5 μF. This is addressed using a TRA3000 S and the CN-R40C05 plus a CDN2000-06-32.
